The Art of Candle Care
A little attention goes a long way. Caring for your candles helps maintain a beautiful flame, reduce soot and make every burn more enjoyable.
Trim Before Lighting. Keep your wick neatly trimmed before each burn. Use our Wick Trimmer to remove excess char and maintain a steady, controlled flame.
Extinguish Gently. Instead of blowing out your candle, use our Wick Dipper to gently dip the burning wick into the melted wax, then straighten it again. This helps reduce smoke and prepares the wick for its next lighting.
Let the Wax Melt Evenly. Allow the wax to melt toward the edges of the container during the first burn, where practical. This helps prevent tunnelling and encourages a more even burn throughout the candle’s life.
Burn with Care. Place candles on heat-resistant surfaces, away from drafts and flammable materials. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
