Why baths are harder than they look - 🛁
Share

I’ve been trying to keep all the warmth I brought back from Venezuela inside of me.
The desire to feel cozy and warm has only grown stronger. Lately, the idea of taking a bath has been constantly crossing my mind.
Taking a bath is one of those things that seems easy… but isn’t. 🛁
1. Keep the water comfortably warm
Have a glass of water nearby and choose warm water rather than a very hot bath. If your skin tends to get dry, keep the soak short — around 5–10 minutes — and gently pat your skin dry afterwards.
2. Prepare the space
Have your towel ready, put your phone aside and light a few beeswax candles. If we’re doing this, we’re making it feel like a little occasion. 🧖
Keep your favourite moisturiser nearby to apply while your skin is still slightly damp. If you choose our Massage Candle for an after-bath massage, extinguish the flame, let the oil cool and test a little on your wrist before using it.
3. About bath bombs
Bath bombs have only really worked for me once. Most of the time, I’m left with bits to clean out of the tub. These days, I’d rather keep it simple and choose a bath product I already know I like. 🛁
4. Leave time to slow down afterwards
Leave your pyjamas or a warm pair of socks within reach. Maybe it’s a book afterwards, maybe it’s straight to bed. Give yourself a little time before jumping into the next thing.
Not every bath has to be perfect or Instagram-worthy. Sometimes warm water, a little candlelight and a phone out of reach are enough. So go ahead — romanticise your life and your bath. 🌿🐝
