We are Stuck in Venezuela! - December 2025

And the thing is, coming to Venezuela always comes with a knot in your stomach and questions like: Will I be able to get in? Will I be able to get out? For this very reason, many Venezuelans go years without returning to their homeland.
We push our luck a little further, and even though every time we come, people ask us the same thing: "You're going to Venezuela... with the situation as it is?" We say yes and embark on our adventure.
This time, fate had other plans.
Flight cancellations prevented us from leaving the country and forced us to stay longer than planned. This being our first official Christmas in Slovenia and a huge opportunity for CocoBee.
That's exactly why we're a team of three... Jure, our "website guy" became candlemaker, delivery guy, and my long-distance emotional support.
Before we left, we made sure he had enough inventory, he has the formulas and the experience to get through this month, but the thought of him being alone in the process breaks my heart a little.
And this is where our community comes in—you.
If you see Jure at the markets, say hi. If you place an order and it takes an extra day, breathe with us. If you notice responses aren't as immediate, remember we're coordinating from two continents with intermittent internet and a lot of nostalgia.
CocoBee is alive and running. Candles are still being made, orders are still being delivered, and Jure is proving he's so much more than "the website guy."
The reality: this wasn't in our plans. We wanted to be there for our first Christmas in Slovenia, for the markets, for everything. But sometimes life (and airlines) have other plans.
And if you want to support us through this unexpected chapter?
The best way is simple: order candles. Gift them, burn them, share them. Every purchase keeps CocoBee going, gives Jure meaningful work while we're away, and reminds us that distance can't dim what we've built together. This is not an email saying that we can't do it, but that you're part of this story. And real stories have moments like this—unexpected, complicated, human.
Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for understanding that behind every candle are people doing their best, even when the universe has other plans.
With love, Rosa and Alexandra (from Caracas) and Jure (from Ljubljana)
